1) When Bruno boarded the train to Auschwitz he notice their were alot of empty seat. He was tempted to tell the passegers on the other train that they could come over there but chose not to.
ReplyDelete2) Bruno found out that the people outside his house aren't really people at all, so says his father. His father told him he wouldn;t have to worry about them at all. This makes Bruno more curious about Out-With because it makes him think about where he really is. This makes him go and found out for himself.
3) When Bruno was in his father's office he voiced his opinion. He told his father he didn't want to be there and was trying to get his point across. What madehim disrespectful was asking if his father had not done his job right or did something bad at work. He was crticising his father's job questioning why they would send them to a place like this if father hadn't done anything wrong. In father's defence the maid Maria told Bruno the story of how her father had helped her. She reminded Bruno how his father is wonderful and a great man.
4)The quote "We don't have the luxury of thinking" means that they don't have an opinion. There opinion doesn't matter. They don't have a say.

1.Bruno notices that there are two train roads heading east and facing the same direction and the other train was crowded with people. While there train was basically empty. He was going to go tel the people on the trian that there is enough room for them to sit on their's, even though he thought his mother would agree with it he also knows that Gretel will not like it so he didn't.

ReplyDelete1. As Bruno's family boards the train he notices a lot of extra seats but decides not to tell the other people about it because, he thought if it doesn't make his mother mad, then it would make Gretel mad which would be even worse.
2. When Bruno asks his father who are those people he saw outside his window, his father said they were soldiers, secretaries, and staff workers. But Bruno meant the people who lived in huts in the distance. Then his father said those people aren't people at all. Meaning those people aren't important to us. Bruno is now more curious about Out-With now because, he wants to find out more about those people who live in the huts.
3. Bruno was being disrespectful to his father when, they were talking and Bruno did someting to make the Fury mad. So then, his father was saying maybe you should just apologize and just accept that... But before they were talking about that, Bruno's father was asking if he liked the place and of course Bruno said no. So then just kept talking about Out-With and Berlin and then all of a sudden, Bruno got really mad and then shouted "I don't want to accept"! So then Bruno went back to his room and then Maria came in and they started talking about Out-With and then they said something and his father and the Bruno called him stupid. Then Maria said that his father wasn't stupid because he was the one that gave her a job and money and food when she didn't have any of that stuff. So Maria defended him

1.Bruno saw that there were trains. One was facing the same direction and the other train and they were overcrowded with people. The train was basically empty. He was going to go tell the people on the train that there is enough room for them to sit on there.

1) While getting on the train Bruno decides not to tell all the other people about the extra seats on there so he wouldn't make his mother or Gretel mad at him.
2) When Bruno asks his father about the people outside the house his father told him that they where just soldier, and other staff. When his father realized that Bruno was talking about the Jews he simply stated that they were not people at all mean they have absolutely no value to him. This made Bruno even more curious about his surroundings and wanted to explore Out-With on his own.
3) Bruno's father told him to accept the conditions we are and and Bruno yelled "I don't want to accept"! While talking to Maria he called his father stupid and Maria defended Bruno's father.

And the house maid Maria was telling Bruno all the things his father did for her and her family, like when Maria's mother was in the hospital because she was very sick. Bruno's father paid for it even though he wasn't suppose to. And when Maria was hungry he feed her and that's how she is here today.

2. When he asked his father about the people he sees out the distance from the window Bruno's father is trying to tell him that those people are not important. It makes Bruno change his mind about Out-With by thinking that he is making this better for his family and his country.

Chapter 5 and 6 Questions
ReplyDelete1. Bruno notices that there are two trains and that everyone is getting on the second train when the train Bruno is boarding is almost empty. He almost goes and tells them that they can get on the train he was getting on but he thinks about it and doesn't do it.
2.At first Bruno's father does not know what Bruno is talking about. Then his father says that the people in the distance were not people at all. That makes Bruno more curious because it was an unclear response to his question so he wanted to find out more.
3.Bruno is disrespectuful by saying his father made a mistake making them move to the new house and out from Berlin and saying that he was stupid. Maria defended him because his father has done a lot for her and her family like pay all of her mom medican bills when she was sick when he was obligated to.
