  6. 1. After Bruno's father tells him that he and his mother and sister are going back to Berlin, he has to tell Shmuel the news. Shmuel is not there for a couple of days and Bruno starts to worry.But then when he finally came Shmuel told him his father went missing.Bruno goes under the fence to help Shmuel find his father.

    2. The fence not only seperates Bruno and Shmuel but it seperates all the Jews from the outside world and their freedom.

  7. 1) In chapter 17 an event that forshadows Bruno's fate is when Mother kept complaining about being at Out-Wit. Her complaining makes you think that the family will be moving back to Berlin.
    2) The barbed wire fence represents the seperation of two different worlds. It seperates two different types of people. To Shmuel it traps him from his freedom. To Bruno it seperates him from friends and fun.

    2. The barbed wire fence represents separation of race. The people inside the fence are Jews and are considered inhuman while the people outside are of other races. It also represents separation of independence. The Jewish people aren't allowed to do what they want or how they want. They don't have a mind of their own. They do what they're told to do and that's it. The barbed wire fence also shows the separation of two different worlds. One world is the world of freedom. The other world is the world of confinement and slavery.

  35. 1. I believe that one event in CHapter 17 that would determine Bruno's fate is that he might be a curious explorer since he explored and found the concentration camp and kept going there and then he decided to go over to the other side of the fence with Shmuel.
    2. The fence also makes an emotional seperation since family members of loved ones might be very sad because their family member is not with them and with them and will probably die in there and they will never see them again, that creates even more emotional unbalances.

  36. 1. I think that later on in chapter 17 Bruno will move because Bruno's mom argues a lot with Bruno's dad about moving.

    2. The fence also seperates Bruno and Schumal because Bruno's side of the fence are Nazis and Schumal side of the fence are Nazis.
