    2. What realization did the father piece together at the fence? Explain how you think he must have felt at that moment.
What actually happened. Play by play. I think Bruno's dad wished he should have imformed his children about what was going on and why they moved there, and what was his job.

    3. Why does the author state at the end of the story "Of course all of this happened a long time ago and nothing like that could ever happen again. Not in his day and age"?
I guess the author is trying to imform that audience that history does repeat itself, and lets not try to let something horrific like the Holocaust happen again.

    1. The outfit remined Bruno of his grandmother because, it kind of remined him about the plays she used to put on with Gretel and Bruno. She always had the right outfits for them to wear.
    2. When I read the end of chapter 19 i was kind of thinking, what happened? So when I started reading chapter 20, it finally came to me that Bruno was the one that got shot and died, and I could kind of tell that his family thought he was lost because they couldn'tfind him and they just went on without him. It really is a sad ending.
    3. When Bruno's father told him that seeing the children and watching the children were 2 different things I guess he would feel kind of, annoyed I guess because Bruno's father is telling him something he already knows about seeing and watching the kids.
    4. The author probably said that because, the holocaust is something that happened a long time ago, and its bot happening now and he hopes it doesn't happen again.
    5. I think that the moral of this story is, no matter how rich or poor you are, you should always have a friend to be by your side.

  20. 1. How does the uniform Schmuel provides remind Bruno of his grandmother?
The uniform reminds Bruno of his Grandmother because she used to always put on plays and she would always have the perfect uniform for the character.

2.How did you react to the ending of the book? Explain what was going through your mind.
I was shocked that Bruno died, but i kind of saw it coming because he was already talking to a Jew which he wasnt supposed to do and he lifted the fence and realized he could fit through. I was kind of sad that Bruno and Shmuel got killed when Bruno was just trying to enjoy his last day with his only friend at "Out-With" and help find his dad and they both got killed.

    3. What realization did the father piece together at the fence?
Explain how you think he must have felt at that moment.
Once at the fence, Bruno's father realized that Bruno went into the cocentration camp by crawling under the fence and died in there. I think Bruno's father felt guilty about Bruno's death because his family moved to "Out-With" because of his job and Bruno had constantly told his father that he wanted to go back to Berlin.

    4. Why does the author state at the end of the story "Of course all of this happened a long time ago and nothing like that could ever happen again. Not in his day and age"?
I think the author makes this statement because he is trying to warn us that history is constantly repeating, but a situation this horrific doesn't need to be repeated.

    5. In your own word, explain the moral of this fable.
I think the moral of this story would be: If you hurt others then you will get hurt in some way in the long run.

    2. I was most confused because I did not know if Bruno and Shmuel died.

    3. The father saw the clothes at the fence and he realized something happened to Bruno. I think he was very sad because he knew Bruno was gone forever. I think he blamed his self because he never told Bruno about the people in the striped pajamas.

    4. I think the author said that because we do not live like this anymore. There is no more segregation.

    5. I think the moral of this story is that people should get along and stop hating other people.

    2. The ending was sad because Bruno died in the gas chamber and his family never saw his body. I was feeling very sad and sorrow.
    3. The father pieced together that there was a break in the fence where a small boy could get into and crawl under. He must have felt angry when he learned that the soldiers at the camp had killed his son and also sad that Bruno was never to be found.
    4. The author states that quote because the humans of the world would and should not allow that to ever happen again.
    5. The moral of the fable is that nobody should ever be mistreated because of race or religion.

  26. 1. Because it smells like dead people.
    2. At the ending of the book to me it seemed like the author was in a hurry to end the book because it was so short and quick to the point...it left cliff hangers everywhere. How I felt when I read the ending wasnt too dramastic because I was just wondering where the rest of the story was.
    3. The father finally relized that Bruno must have snuck into the consentration camp. He must have felt that there was no hope in ever seeing his son again.
    4. Because the Jews will fight back next time, and in this day in age technology is very much more advanced, basiclly eveyone has some sort of cellphone and radio and television(news).
    5. In my own words I would explain the moral as...Don't try to keep your life a secret from your family.

What realization did the father piece together at the fence? Explain how you think he must have felt at that moment. He must have felt a huge guilt in his heart because he brought Bruno there to that horrible place and he didn't inform Bruno on what was really happening.
Why does the author state at the end of the story "Of course all of this happened a long time ago and nothing like that could ever happen again. Not in his day and age"?
In your own word, explain the moral of this fable.
The moral of this story is that you should stand up for what you believe in and not just follow the crowd.

    1. The stipped pajamas remind Bruno of his grandmother because her and Gretel would always dress up to act out a play.
    2. I reacted scared and sad because if i was in a gas chamber and knowing what it was and not knowing what will happen to me in there, and i was sad because they obviously died.
    3. What father realized at the fence was that Bruno slipped under the fence and somehow didn't come back.
    4. He stated that because the story was based around the Holocoust and the Holocoust happened a long time ago, it was very brudel and it's presents should not be repeted again.
    5. The moral of this fable was that you should not ever descriminate people that are diffrent from you or make a joke of the Holocoust because it was a very important time in history were jewish famlies lost some of there family members for doing no wrong.

  29. 1. The uniform that Shmuel had given Bruno to change into reminded Bruno of his grandmother because they use to dress up a lot.

    2. I wasn't really surprised or shocked because I had already had a pretty good idea that Bruno was going to died after he crawled under the fence not only because I saw the movie but because curiosity always kills the cat and "cat" literally did get killed.

    3. Bruno's father pieced together exactly what had taken place that day a year ago from crawling underneath the fence to eventually ending up in the gas chamber. Through all this he realized why the soldiers had not recognized Bruno because he was on of the boys in the striped pajamas. Bruno's father must have felt awful and completely foolish for being so naive of how curious Bruno could become despite all of his warnings.

    4. At the end of the story the author states that because he is being sarcastic about something like this can never happen again when in fact is on a day today basis most people may just be to naive to believe it.

    5. I believe that the moral of this fable is to always listen to what someone older/wiser than you is telling you to do and never let you curiosity get the best of you because it will always have a bad turn out maybe not as bad as dying but it definitely is possible.
