1 If I were Bruno when Lieutenant Kotler attacked Shmuel I would have told him I gave it to him, and that he was hungry so I did him a favor. I think Bruno didn't do or say anything about Kotler attacking Shmuel because he was scared and was caught off guard at the moment, since Kotler just came out of nowhere and saw the food on Shmuels mouth. 2. I think the most exciting part of chapter 16 was when Bruno found out that Lieutenant Kotler was transferred away because he never liked him and was happy he was gone.
